The batteries we carry are 510 threaded devices that assist in activating cartridges or any tool with a 510 threading fixture.
Vape Cartridges contain either a distillate oil or liquid diamond (CBD forward or high THC percentage, little to no cannabis flavour/smell, and often heavily flavoured like fruit or candy) or full spectrum extracts (Tastes and smells like the plant it came from, contains most of the cannabinoids present in the plant, higher quality, and more well-rounded effects).
These cartridges have a small threaded attachment that screw into the batteries, allowing you to heat that oil in a convenient and hassle free way. This is a clean and potent way to consume THC and other minor cannabinoids without a lighter, rolling papers, or without sacrificing the satisfying mouth feel of taking a draw. Most batteries work similarly; 5 clicks of the big button to turn it on, 5 clicks to turn it off. 2 clicks to preheat the cartridge up to a nice temperature that allows you to vape it. This might look like a steady flashing light or a 10 second count-down. If you are walking around chilly Vancouver with your cartridge and battery in your pocket, it’s best to preheat it so you’re not pulling the oil through the hardware before it has a chance to vaporize. However, some batteries have no button at all. These batteries are considered draw-activated. Meaning, you can draw on the cartridge and the battery will react and begin vaporizing instantly.
Most batteries have a temperature control system as well. This usually looks like a dial or screen with a range of temperatures on it (1.0V-4.2V) or three temperature setting (low, medium, high). The higher the temperature, the more vapour you will draw from it. The lower you go, the flavour tends to come forward a little more and less vapour of course. If you are burning it too high you will notice the flavour and function of the vape cartridge begin to change. This can be good or bad, depending on your vaping preferences. We recommend you start at a lower temperature (2.4V) and work your way up until you are happy with the amount of vapour pulling from the cartridge.
No matter what battery you choose, we are here to help walk you through its design and how to use it properly. All batteries are different; some small, simple and low maintenance, others larger with longer battery life, or discreet styles to hide a cartridge (sometimes we gotta be sneaky).
